inspirational images

I need a location as a stable in my film. I have as yet to find one but these photographs i have taken inspire me to look for a location that have simple / homely connotations.

visual treatment

methods i may use include...

adding particles; glitter or organic matter.

overlay of drawn imagery.

cut an paste negative pieces / collage.

blacking out areas of image to re-frame.

visual treatment

These images are slides i have manipulated with layering. I like the repetitive effects and would utalise this repetition in contiguoustills.

This is a slide made from acertate. The image is drawn with texta. I will be using animation and drawn stills throughout Contiguoustills.

visual treatment - colour palette

Primary and vivid colours will be my palette for the background imagery I will use in Contiguoustills.
To achieve this I will use slide film.

idea

Using photographic stills and hand made negatives I will create a handmade film.
Handmade
|ˈhan(d)ˈmād|
made by hand, not by machine, and typically therefore of superior quality : his expensive handmade shoes.

I began experimenting with stills a long time ago when I studied photography. Most of my experimentation was in the dark room, however I did begin to cut up my negatives, rearrange and recompose them. This was done rather crudely but a nugget of an idea formed; an idea I am now revisiting.

I have studied animation and film. The coupling of these techniques has led me to this idea - Contiguoustills:
|kənˈtigyoōəs-stil|

still image sharing a common border; touching : a reel of film negative.
• photographic stills next to or together in sequence : five hundred contiguous images.
